Fording held a 60% interest in the Elk Valley Coal Partnership and a 100% interest in NYCO. The Trust used the cash it receives from its investment in Fording (GP) ULC to make quarterly cash distributions to its unitholders. The Elk Valley Coal Partnership accounted for 98% of the Trust’s revenues in 2005 and NYCO accounted for the balance.
